341ml brown bottle Brown pour, large off white head, creamy. Abundant lacing. Caramel in the nose, light fruity notes. Taste has big caramel malts, some grains, bit of nut and very light earth. Finish has faint hops, some lasting grainy notes. Medium body, average carbonation. Pretty good.

650ml bottle. Deep discount and binnys. Brown pour. Frothy head. Smell and taste are pretty ild, metallic, fruity, nutty, all subdued, think if newcastle wasn’t skunked.

Bomber. Pours a nearly p[aque deep cestnut brown, fluffy white head with solid retention and lacing. Nose is malt, cocoa, roast, som ebutterscotchy notes. Mouth is medium bodied, slight sweetness, lots of malty goodness, coffee, Tootsie Roll, puffed wheat. I’m admittedly not a huge fan of Brown ales, but thhis is actually rather tasty and very drinkable.

On tap @ Parallel 49. Dark amber pour with off-bite foam. Lots of toasted malt and black cherry on the nose. Grape juice, a bit of butterscotch, and some toffee. Only light roasted malt and hints of coffee and chocolate. Fairly sweet and caramelized sugar driven flavor profile. Plum, black cherry juice, and toffee. A light butterscotch candy note and some mild roast. Some grape juice as it warms.

thin bodied brown ale. pours with almost no head retention whatsoever. buttery (diacetyl) aroma and mouthfeel. a number of things could make this beer better. it could be a lot more complex and without as much of the butterscotch flavor. i prefer my brown ales to be slightly roasted and have dark chocolate as opposed to just flat caramel malt sweetness.

Almost black, decent white head. Pretty typical brown ale, I suppose. Some chocolate, some nuttiness. Gets pretty sweet as it warms. Not really my thing...

Pours a deep brown cola color. Aroma of dark roasted malt with a little sweetness. Taste is clean with a roasted malt flavor. This beer leaves a film on your tongue allowing its rich roasted flavor to last long after the swallow. A flavorful brown ale that is simple and easy drinking.
