COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We put the kettle on for a long boil and this Scottish wee heavy is what we got. Rich Caramel is complemented by sea salt for a complex intense flavour. Another? Aye

light brown color. Very sweet malty. The mouth has a whallop of caramel, cherries and lacks pettiness. Not a scotch ale. With some cherries in the finish. Ok but directionless

12 oz can. Deep amber colored body with excellent clarity and a good head. Sweet aroma features caramel and vanilla. The flavor follows. sweet but not cloying. Medium carbonation with near medium body. Overall: very drinkable. Should be an excellent dessert beer. /recommended.

Bomber from whole foods. Pours brown with a small head. Heavy aroma of bourbon and caramel. Taste is... Oh wow salted caramel, light metal, light leafiness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Wow delicious. Pours a dark copper with a white head. Aroma of caramel. Taste of sweet caramel candy. Light carbonation, very tasty. Almost Luke liquid candy.

Visual: Pours cinnamon brown with a very small head, almost non-existant layer of ringed retention, a few small bubbles here and there. Nose: light booze, brown sugar caramel malts. (lvl-6)-pungency Attack: immediate (lvl-9)-sweetness up front, crisp, thicker viscosity Mid-palate: continual sugars, tangy bite, (MAIN) caramel malts, toasted barley, alcohol bitterness Finish: malty sweet finish, subtle bitterness. Summary: Surprisingly sweet, a decent attempt at something unique but not getting much of the salt for the ’salted caramel’. A bit above average.

Light copper body white head. Not much retention. Vanilla sweet malt aroma and a bit of booze. Taste is quite sweet semi-boozy. Like a sweeter innis and gunn. Not bad.

A tasty treat. Pours a dark honey colour. Aromas of caramel, vanilla and banana. The booze keeps it from being cloying. Tastes like it smells. Yum.

October 20, 2013 - gravity cask at Cask Days 2013. Last pour - so cloudy deep amber with a solid frothy tan head. Smells like a scotch ale - caramel and sweet, not much else, maybe a bit herbal - salty? not in the aroma. Taste - yep - salt water taffy - sweet nougat, light salt and herbal bitterness - pretty frickin good. Slick, average body, decently carbonated, starts sweet, finishes more herbal/floral - not bad at all.

appearance: clear cola brown with a short creamy tan head, minimal lacing. aroma: caramel, toffee, light brown sugar, vanilla, slightly vinous. taste: very sweet, full of caramel and vanilla, some raisin and fig. finish: lasting slick sweetness, with vanilla notes growing in intensity. notes: Didn’t get much salt or even toffee notes in the flavor. It was a decent enough scotch ale, but I was hoping for more of the salt; that was the aspect of this I was really looking for. Palate was a little overly smooth; a little higher carb would have cut all that sweetness nicely. Bottle from Total WIne in Alexandria, Virginia.
