COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We put the kettle on for a long boil and this Scottish wee heavy is what we got. Rich Caramel is complemented by sea salt for a complex intense flavour. Another? Aye

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Dark amber color with red hue; small creamy head. Some aroma of caramel and fudge. Good body structure, round mouthfeel, good flavor of dark caramel some fudge, light saltiness.
Salted butter caramel is a specialty of Brittany; indeed this beer reminds a bit of that caramel. Pleasant.

Golden amber, sweet character...almost flavoured, i like the salty caramel notes, but itís too sweet to drink too much.

Bottle at West Coast Brew Fest 2014. Pours dark copper. Aroma is sort of winey malt. Med body. Flavor is rather vanilla roast malt. Smoke? Not for me. Not a lot of hop.Nice taste.

A reddish brown scotch ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, strong sweet cherry malt with candy overtones and fruity pulp. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with light corky notes, a bit light. Cask Days 2013.

WEIRD. Amber colored pour, light head. Ok at first the taste of caramel is interesting. But as you get into the beer further its artificial, plastic, flavors of caramel, peat, overripe fruit. ODD.

Good choice for a cask. Some sweaty salty caramel. Nothing complicated, howoever break from the hops and the like.

Bottled. Pours a clear amber color with a thin frothy tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of brine, caramel, toffee, mild fruits in the finish. The taste is brine, caramel, toffee, toasted malt, sugared raisins. Medium bodied, nice balance.

Bottle. Hazy copper, golden highlights, lacy off-white head. Sweet butterscotch malt, fruity nuances. A little sweet and simple, but not bad. No peat or smoke at all, but thatís a non-issue for me. I had this after Eel River Porter, and maybe that was a mistake because the sweetness really seemed amped up in this brew. I donít know. it was good, but didnít blow me away.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a beautiful orangey amber with a small beige head. Aroma of big syrupy caramel malts and not much else - very pleasant nose though. Flavour of salted caramel--very true to the name--, with corn syrup and caramel malts. ABV is well-hidden, and the flavour profile is well-constructed. Solid stuff.
