COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’ve carved out a pumpkin Oktoberfest even Ichabod would love. This hearty, malty lager is warmed by the mighty pumpkin and lifted with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, all-spice and ginger.

2013-10-23. Crisp dark amber body head modest off white head. Aroma is mild, sweetish malt, whisper of vanilla and cinnamon. Flavour sweetish malt base, sweet pumpkin and a bit of pumpkin spice, cinnamon notes. Whisper of vanilla or am I imagining that? Smooth average plus bodied palate, soft carbonation. 3+ Decent. On tap at Volo, Toronto

Bottle. Brassy golden, average white head. Spicy caramel aroma. Nutmeg and caramel, powdery essence, lightly bitter finish. Missing the gourd in this one.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a clear golden orange with a small beige head. Aroma of feint pumpkin spices, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Flavour brings out pumpkin purée, a little nutmeg, and a touch of cinnamon. Sort of like a watered down Pumking. Good stuff, but nothing special.

Draught at The Morrissey, Vancouver. Pours a deep orange-amber with a small frothy white head. Nice aroma of pumpkin, spices, a good amount of sweetness and malt -- like a lovely pumpkin dessert but not cloying. Flavour is just as good, again like a nice pumpkin dessert, not too sweet, a good amount of spice -- quite enjoyable. Average to medium bodied. A great Pumkin beer. -- Rated via Beer Buddy.

Bottle.Dark amber with a light head. Dark pie spice and dark roast pumpkin smell. Flavour is less of both spice and roast pumpkin. A tough beer to pull off and this one is above average even if it does not leave you howlin’ for more.

Somewhat cardboard-like and vegetal in the nose with a cloying sweetness and hints of nutmeg and cinnamon. Clear dark golden/light amber coloured body is topped by a thin, white, rapidly, and fully, diminishing head. Light malt sweetness is not as cloying as the aroma suggested but spices are underwhelming and hop character also lacking. Very strong carbonation takes over the light body. Not sure my bottle was in the best condition though I’m not sure it would have been my thing regardless. Tulip glass. Just above fridge temperature. Bottle (sampled in Fall 2012).

341ml bottle pours a dark golden color with a finger of white head that settles to leave some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is cinnamon and nutmeg with a bit of caramel. Taste is cinnamon and nutmeg with a sharp hoppy bitterness that leaves little to be desired and a light caramel malty sweetness. Not as good as the other beers from this brewery, a bit of a disappointment.

Pumpkin and oktoberfest style, not tap things I tend to enjoy on their own. Louts clear brown without head or lacing. Pumpkin pie aroma with some not. Finishes with light sweetness and a little sourness on long term finish. Soft carbonation. Tap at volos.

Bottle - Pumpkin is upfront with spices and pale malts. Clear effervescent gold with a thin white head. Lots of pumpkin and a simple clean finish. Very light and refreshing, but after a few sips the pumpkin on it’s own is just a bit much. Nice idea, good execution, but not to my taste.

Bottle (341 ml). From FondueVoodoo, thanks! Clear bright golden/orange with a small off-white head and little to no lacing. Aroma is most of spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, all-spice and ginger) along with pumpkin and light caramel. Taste is about the same with as much spices. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Even with all those spices it’s still decently drinkable. Not my kind of beer, but not bad for the style.
