Thanks to Reimer96 for this. Pours cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma is citrus hop bitterness and rice. Taste is spicy from the rye and citrus hop bitterness. Rice body gives way to a nice spicy finish.

Hop aroma but otherwise light nose. Cloudy orange colour. Surprising big malt profile with good hop balance. Quite spicy aftertaste with bitterness lingering long with warming alcohol in the finish.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, shared with Parksy. Pale lemony yellow, very hazy, pillowy white head that retains beautifully. Aroma is pungent green hops, slightly earthy, a little cat-pissy. Light crackery malts showcase the lovely hop bouquet, a mixture of grassy green and ripe gooseberry, some starfruit, a little dank pot. Very drinkable, aromatic hop showcase here! So much better than I expected-- seriously, who’d of thought a "rice IPA" with a cartoony label could possibly be so good! Wow, nice one P-49!

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a cloudy copper/orange with an average white head that leaves a lot of great lace up the glass. Aroma is sweet tropical fruits, citrus, pine, and some alcohol. Flavour is residual sweetness, resin, toasted rice(or something... not too familiar with rice beers since I quit the macro), medium perceived bitterness for the 70 ibu marking, herbal, and alcohol on the finish though not harsh.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy dark orangish pale color with a frothy and lacey white head. Aroma of grass, tropical fruits, kiwi, lemon citrus and some sweet pale malts. Taste is sweet tropical hops, kiwi, herbal and medicinal notes present in the flavor from the hops as well. Finish is semi dry but clips and clean with a good balance of hops and malts as the high abv doesn’t really come out until the finish. Excellent one off type beer.

2013-10-23. Hazy dark orange amber small off white head. 3+ Flavour has tons of lovely orange citrus character, light alcohol in the finish. Aroma is interesting with sort of lightly grainy character, fairly alcoholic overtones, mild hops. Smooth average plus palate. 3+ Pretty nice! On tap at Volo, Toronto

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JAN 28, 2014 10/30/2013 Bomber. Opaque orange brown, slight off-white head fades. Citric tropical fruity aroma. Lemony citrus, sweet tropical kiwi fruity hop taste dominates, light acidity, some floral and herbal notes. Bland tasteless rice and the lack of malt presence help showcase the Mouteka hops, which do quite well on their own. Average carbonation, light bodied and moderately hopped for an Impy, ABV is well hidden. Unique and enjoyable, but still: NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

Bottle (650 ml). From FondueVoodoo, thanks! Slightly hazy orange with a small/medium white head and good lacing. Aroma is of malt, sweetness, light pine and fruity notes. Taste is moderately sweet with piney hops, malt, fruity notes, spices and moderate bitterness. Medium body. Good carbonation. Slightly dry mouthfeel. A tad too sweet. There’s also a weird aroma/flavor that is probably the rice and that I don’t like that much. Not bad though.
