Pour this medium-bodied Imperial IPA for a bit of snap and crackle - and plenty of hop. Brewed with Motueka hops from New Zealand, it starts dry and finishes crisp.

650ml brown bottle. Deep golden pour with a lot of haze. Creamy white cap that thins a bit and leaves messy lacing. Hoppy nose with sweet white grape and citrus, grapefruit and tropical fruit notes. Taste has grapefruit and tropical fruit hops. The NZ donít leave any room for tasting anything else. Aftertaste of grapefruit and tropical fruit. Lots of hop flavour, but not a ton of bitterness. Still, a good brew, mouthfeel is pretty light for a 9% + brew, alcohol isnít noticable. Canít find any rice notes anywhere, interesting that the ingredient was used, but this is jut a big NZ hop showcase, might account for the light body though. Enjoyable.

Delicious and unique brew. The pour is a bright gold with a sticky whispy head. The nose is heavily hopped and bright with tons of fruity notes. Nice caramel and toasted rice notes with a mildly resinous middle. The finish is bitter and heavy with a nice fruity flavor. overall a unique and delicious brew

650ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a finger of white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is orange and grapefruit with some grains. Taste is a passion fruit and malty sweetness with some orange rind and grapefruit hop bitterness. Medium bodied with some decent carbonation leaving a pleasant sensation on the palate. A well done DIPA worthy of a great tasting experience.

Appearance: Hazy burnt amber with a moderate white head. Aroma: Fresh cut grass, pine, slight florals, dope, slight caramel, slight citrus, fruit punch. Taste is an aggressive herbal bitterness, but the odd thing is the weird sour taste Iím getting, plus all the pepper and spices. Palate is thick, quite hot (unsurprising), bitterness lingers in the mouth, CO2 is moderate high. Overall...I think the rice might be responsible for the funny flavors but itís hard to say. This pales in comparison to Lord of the Hops.

Bomber. Pours translucent dark gold with white head. Nose is tropical fruit, earth, Iíve heard moteuka described as spearmint not sure what hops theyíre smoking. Flavour is about the oily hop resins with citrus and tropical fruit, no idea what the rice does here, had it in a bunch of lagers and can say it adds to the crispness and dryness but this was neither. Didnít know how much Iíd enjoy this, was pleasantly surprised.

Pours a cloudy amber colour with a big white head. Aroma is mostly citrus hops. Flavour is earthy with lots of hoppy citrus notes. Little bit different taste left on the palate itís still taste

Poured from the tap. Cloudy, orangey yellow with dissipating white head. Very skunky hop aroma. Very odd wild rice flavour with some skunk and a hoppy dry bitter finish. A very different, interesting beer that I can only handle in a small amount. May share with a friend again.

Bottle - Skunky hops with a bit of grapefruit. Hazy gold with a nice head. Tastes exactly as it smells with the spicy, earthy hop notes. Unfortunately that is it, a one trick pony with very little body as well. A decent drink but nothing to write home about.
