COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pour this medium-bodied Imperial IPA for a bit of snap and crackle - and plenty of hop. Brewed with Motueka hops from New Zealand, it starts dry and finishes crisp.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Muddy orange-blond color with persistent creamy head. The aroma is powerful, fruity; tropical fruits, litchi, papaya. Smooth mouthfeel, round; a bit too sweet, the rice probably contributes to the lack of character; but the hopping seems well done, with the correct bitterness and a very strong fruit component.
Some elements are good, but altogether they don’t blend well. Cloying.

Cloudy tan, bubbly head, aroma is orangey, tangerine with subtle malts and yeast in the background. Earthy and somewhat dull citrus - muted by the large amount of yeast in the glass I suspect. Unsurprisingly, I don’t get much rice.

Enjoyed on tap at Bar Volo.Very smooth, tasty and interesting balanced hoppy ale. Rice sugars make it a little saki-like. One of the brewery’s better creations.

2013-10-23. Hazy dark orange amber small off white head. 3+ Flavour has tons of lovely orange citrus character, light alcohol in the finish. Aroma is interesting with sort of lightly grainy character, fairly alcoholic overtones, mild hops. Smooth average plus palate. 3+ Pretty nice! On tap at Volo, Toronto

Bottle, shared with Parksy. Pale lemony yellow, very hazy, pillowy white head that retains beautifully. Aroma is pungent green hops, slightly earthy, a little cat-pissy. Light crackery malts showcase the lovely hop bouquet, a mixture of grassy green and ripe gooseberry, some starfruit, a little dank pot. Very drinkable, aromatic hop showcase here! So much better than I expected-- seriously, who’d of thought a "rice IPA" with a cartoony label could possibly be so good! Wow, nice one P-49!

650mL bottle, pours an opaque cloudy orange with a medium white head. Aroma is super dank, with loads of pot, earthy hops, and biscuity malt. Flavour is quite odd, with loads of super dank, earthy hops, pot, and herbal notes. The rice probably contributes to some of the weirdness. It’s the dank, herbally, almost skunky notes of the hops that shine here. Very enjoyable stuff - too bad it’s a one-off.

Bomber from the LCBO (hope it’s fresh!). Wow - that’s murky; orange, huge lasting foamy/creamy head - looks great. Smells pretty damned fine too - orange juice/zest, light resin and pine, alcohol - mmmmmm ..... Taste follows, but a bit more malt and less bitterness - still very juicy, tons of citrus in here - sneaky strong too. Average but chewy mouthfeel, mild carbonation, increasing bitterness and booze in the finsh/linger ... like like like!!

Bomber, thanks H&T. Hazy orange colour, white head. Aroma of lots of pine, spruce, light fruity, hoppy. Flavour is very different, pine, but also loads of peach, tropical fruits, mango, pineapple, firm bitter hoppy finish. Medium-bodied. Tasty.

(650ml bottle) Purchased at the brewery for $6.50. Pours a lasting foamy white head atop a partially cloudy orange body. Nose of highly floral New Zealand hops. Good bitterness, orange rind, high citrus. Very decent for a double IPA.

pours hazy medium dark golden with a creamy white head, good retention and nice lacing. citrus, grapefruit, pepper, danky notes, sweet honeyed malts and/or cereals, ginger, spices, grass. average carbonation, medium body - oily, sweetness, assertive spicy-citrusy finish. ok.
