3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
650mL capped bottle, a gift from fiulijn. Apparently he is giving these out to every lucky girl at the dance :). I wasnít having high expectations for this beer. First, no idea of age. Second, an Imperial IPA from Canada, well call me skeptical. When cold this seems to hit the spot. Strong hops, moderate bitterness, no off flavors. Passes the "I didnít try testí but the true test of a beer is letting it warm up. Temperature decreases bring out a much sweeter sugary aspect. Not offending and not caramel - thank goodness - but sweet. Hops sort of generic but felt. Not particularly bitter, again the sweetness covers up a lot. I see this as just an American Strong Ale, its actually not bitter or hoppy enough. I can drink it again and it exceeded my expectations.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
650ml, thanks to fiulijn for the gift. Slight hazy white gold, creamy white head. Spice-tinged hop, a rich, astringent wit beer with some more dense hops. An odd mashup for me, but hits with plenty of wheat-wot character. Finishes quite dry, with balanced pine-citrus. Very tasty, a bit spicy.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz bottle from Appalachian Vintner shared with drsordr. Pours a hazy dark golden color with a large off white head. The aroma and flavor have toasted grainy malts, resin, some pithy fruit character, at the beginning it had stronger alcohol notes, they settled down as it warmed a bit, sweetness grows, just a bit strange overall.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared by alexsdad06 pour avg gold with large white head. Nose very faint toffee and fruity dank hop. Taste mild bitter up front, then some sweet malt, but overriding flavor of rubbing alcohol. Some sweet and wheat malt and mild peppery spice. I just canít get past the medicinal alcohol flavor.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Poured a pale hazy yellow with a foamy white head. Aroma is citrus/grapefruit, pine. Taste is sweet grapefruit and pine with a hint of citrus tartness. Finishes with floral, resin hoppy notes and a faint bitterness. The 9.2% ABV is hidden well.
