3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle to tulip glass, pours a jet black with a thin mocha head. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, roasted malt, coffee, slight vanilla. Taste is the same...but with a sweet slight sour edge that fades to a smooth bitterness. Palate is low co2, quite robust body, balance great. Overall kinda reminds me of salty scot but less body and no salt.

3.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Small bottle at Hops in New West. Almost no carbonation it seems, but aroma is sweet and fruity, suggestive of plums and raisins. Very rich, sweet and fruity on the tongue. A nice example of a sweet stout.
And recently on tap at St Augustineís on The Drive in Vancouver. Impressions are about the same as above. A very nice example of a sweet stout.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
pours a very dark brown with a small head, thin retention, some activity near the surface. Coffee and sweet dark malts on the nose.
Attack: 7/10-sweetness, tingly/fizzy mouthfeel
Mid-palate: coffee, chocolate, malt, creaminess, persistent sweetness brought out by the lactose, light roast
Finish: partially thin finish, light coffee bitter
One of their better ones from this brewery. It goes quite nice with beef but not much carry on its own.
