Thin aroma of grains, cardboard and metal. Flavour is grainy, barely any flavour at all. Very thin and watery, like drinking water with a faint beer taste.

Tasted as Parbo Bier, the most popular beer from Suriname, from a brewery in Paramaribo owned by Heineken. Tasted from a 50 cl can. Stable, regular, off-white head, clear golden blonde colour with vivid sparkling. Malt sweetness and rice in the nose, grassy hops, old cookies, soap, iron. Neutral and mineral-like onset, shifting into a simple pale malt sweetness in which some rice sweetishness also appears, as in an Asian lager, sweetish finish with a grassy hop bitterishness which lasts longer than expected. Thirst-quenching, straightforward and simple but very drinkable for a lager made in a country without a real beer culture, I had many European mass-marketed lagers of lesser quality. Thanks a lot Maaike, for bringing me the can!

Can shared by Travlr, 5/23/14. Pours a golden color with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet cereal grain and honey. The taste is pale grain, mild honey and glue notes. Thin bodied.

50CL can at home, yellow golden beer with a medium head, aroma is light something, taste is light bittersweet, and well its not that bad. Drinks away very very easy.

MarkoNm (678) - Novo mesto, SLOVENIA - JUL 18, 2014
Pours a clear golden color, topped with a medium frothy head that immediately settles to only a small lacing around the brim. There is a fairly mild malty aroma. not much else here. The taste is light, sweet and watery. No real bitterness in the finish. Slightly biscuity aftertaste. Drinkable, but not much to the taste.

Maakun (758) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - JUN 23, 2014
Clear golden with big white head. Taste is sweet grains more like quinoa than barley, cardboard, light spices and a hint of herbal bitter in the finish. Nasty chemical aftertaste. Starts ok but the finish is pretty bad.

Eisbock version thanks to Travlr’s freezer. Pours cloudy gold. Some grain even. I think I can taste some malaria in here but since it’s an older vintage it certainly isn’t that new dengue-like disease.

Drinking from a 1000 ml bottle. A dusty aroma. A clear golden beer with a white head that disappears fast. A light easy drinkable pils, light sweet. Medium carbonated.

Can on park bench across from Moeder Lambic, pre-opening. Pale gold pour with fizzy white head. Aroma is cidery, flour, bad fermentation. Taste is sweet, doughy, off fermentation tart grainy flavors. Light palate, sweet. Bleh.

Can (500 ml). Shared by JulienHuxley in a park at around 10 a.m. before Cantillon Quintessence 2014. Clear yellow with a small bubbly ring of white foam. Aroma is of corn, green apples, grains and light herbalness. Taste is slightly sweet with corn, green apples and medicinal finish. Light body. Watery. Bland, but not even easily drinkable because of the sweetness and the green apple aroma/flavor. One of the worst Pale Lager I have tried and it’s not my first Pale Lager country tick. Awful.
