Pardál Světlé Výčepní Pivo 9.7°
Traditionally, the strength and beauty of the Czech brewing industry lay in the wide variety and uniqueness of its product range. Budweiser Budvar, N.C. decided to go against this trend and enrich the Czech beer culture with a beer of a new, original flavour particularly suitable for the typical Czech beer consumers. Therefore the brewery invited the real consumers, i.e. those who are fond of beer and have experience in its consumption, to take part in developing it. For several months, the aroma, colour and flavour were being tuned in the brewery. Combining traditional brewing skills with the experience of Budweiser Budvar’s brewers and challenging ideas of many beer connoisseurs resulted in the creating of the present Czech beer idol – “Pardál” beer, the perfect beer for sharp and full bitter flavoured beer lovers. The true beer for groups of friends who can label it : “It’s one of us!”

Alengrin (3127) - BELGIUM - AUG 26, 2014
Relatively new lager from this renowned Bohemian brewery, made by and for their loyal customers. Snow white, stable, fluffy head, golden blonde colour with very light haze. Grainy aroma, corn, minerals, grass, young cheese. Subdued sweetness, grainy, a tad caramelly, bit metallic too, grassy hoppy finish. Nothing compared with the famous Budweiser Budvar but still, a bit different from the standard and therefore interesting.

500 ml can. Golden with thin white head. Aroma is sweet and malty with grass and hay. Taste is similar, sweet and malty without being sticky, grass and hay from the hops. Decent low abv

500 ml bottle - the cheap logo (unusually containing Hebrew as the second language to English?) and large bottle are sign of the cheap mass produced export. This doesn’t hide it’s colours, pale yellowish colour, frothy white head and high carbonation and little taste.

Bottle. Weak and ineffectual. Pale gold and thin on flavour. Refreshing enough and as a Svetle it trumps pale lager by default but it’s a pauper among princes in the Czech Republic.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Pours yellow with a nice head, aroma of grain, yeast, cheese, some floral tones, flavor of grain, herbal hops, slightly bitter, medium bodied.

At a tasting, thanks zvikar, clear and a little deep gold colour, sweet plastic aroma with some bread, sweet honey fruity flavour with some vanila, light bitterness. Not too good and a touch cloying.
