does not count  Jan 28, 2004 I used to think this had too much of an alcohol taste, but 'not' true... it has the classic Czech 'nutty' lager taste, with malt in spades, hops maybe as an afterthought... medium amber color, and an aroma that reminds me of driving by the Anheuser-Busch Fermentation building back in the Eighties, except that this delivers on the promise of all that aroma

Nov 7, 2003 Updated: Nov 27, 2003This bottle may have been slightly old, but not mishandled. Pours dark yellow with a thin white head. Rich grassy and malty aroma. Clean, not fruity. Rich malty flavor, and no hop. Lingering malt flavor. Very nice, like a German Mai-Bock, or Urbock-23.

Oct 26, 2002 Rich malty concoction which I think buries the high (8%) alcohol content. Terribly smooth and alluring with a thick white head and fine lacing. Actually quite nice, really.

Sep 28, 2003 Darker gold, with a small foam collar but it leaves decent lace. Interesting variation on malty aroma, with some grapey and meaty aspects folded in, leading into a fairly full bodied mouthfeel with a rough hewn, one might even say rustic malt flavor, but smooth and clean, just some earthy, smokey things lurking around the edges. Fairly deluxe, too bad about the simple bottle and limited availability of this though...
