Brewed with Louisiana sugarcane! A new Louisiana tradition in the works. Crisp and easy to drink, this sparingly hopped American wheat focuses attention on the understated sweet remnants of sugarcane.

This was very sweet tasting, not a wheat ale. Don’t know why this is called a wheat ale. Its definitely light, almost no malty wheat flavor just all caramel sweetness. Says sugarcane, maybe they should back off on it a good bit and let the base beer come through.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2015 Aroma is mild sugar sweetness and wheat. The flavor is sugar/mild/medium sweetness, wheat and an almost malt soda finish. Smoother on tap, with less sweetness.

On tap at...a bar on Frenchman (it all kind of blurs together after a while). Pours hazy and a little on the dark side of amber. Very doughy aroma. Sweet, biscuity flavor with a decent hit of citrus. Refreshing enpugh.

Pint on tap at New Orleans Food & Spirits in Metairie. Hazy darkish gold with a ring of cream. Nose is sweet with caramel and sorghum. Tastes like Sugar Babies candy with a bit of dry grass and toasted grain at the finish. Medium carbonation with a sweetness bordering on cloying, but went decently well with some gumbo and a Po’ Boy.

On tap at Cooter Brown’s New Orleans. Pours a clear golden yellow with a thick white head. Aroma of sweet sugar, and wheat malt. Flavor of bready malt with some lemon, light fruits, and sweet sugar in the finish. Sweet, not the best wheat ale, but it is ok
