Deep honey brown with flavor of carmelized malt, smooth with light carbonation good bock beer but nothing really stands out.

This is undoubtedly the BEST beer in the world! I have never met anyone who has tried it who would argue otherwise. I would do anything to get some unfortunately it is not exported and only American soldiers are aware of its existence outside of the three small towns it is distributed in.

Heller, deutlich würziger Antrunk. Milde Süße, die Würzigkeit steigt. Herb malzig, vollmundig. Minimale passende Alkoholigkeit. Gut! 11/12/12/12/11/12

Thanks to Erzengel for that bottle. Looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, huge head. Starts strong-malty, a bit alcoholic without being too much. Soft-spicy, some grasy notes. Finish well balanced, still fine spicy. Nice!

500 ml bottle. BB 16/09/2014. From my Secret Santa. A big thank you Erzengel!
Clear deep golden colour with a small frothy white head. Sweetness, grainy malt, mild alcohol and play dough in the aroma. The flavour is mild grassy hops, mild bitterness, farmyardy malt, almondy sweetness and... not very good. As I’m not huge fan of Bock this isn’t easy one. Strong, sweet and malty. Reminds a bit strong Baltic/East European Lagers.

This was the beer of choice for GIs stationed in this area of Germany. Park makes many different brews, but this one is probably the best. It pours a silky gold and has a slightly malty flavor. Slightly bitter finish. Decent inexpensive local beer. I tried one again last summer to relive my time in sunny Zwei and was not disappointed. It wouldn’t be my beer of choice now since I have grown up, but it was and probably still is a great party beer.

Nice seasonal from Park. Mild malty aroma, taste is malt with some spiciness. Color is deep gold with a nice airy head. This is decent, and from my local brewery, so I’ll give it props.

My first ever Bock beer. Enjoyable during a meal or after, slightly sweet but with caramel tones. Higher alc% than most weissen yet smooth. once drove 180 mi from Fulda to Kaiserslautern to pick up a rack.

HaseZotzenbach (14) - Zotzenbach (Rimbach), Odenwald, GERMANY - FEB 13, 2012
UPDATED: FEB 19, 2012 Deep gold to light amber in color, with good clarity, ruby highlights and a large, creamy, persistent, white head. Dominated by a balance of rich, intense malts, a definite alcohol presence that is not harsh and a light noble hop aromas, which is acceptable in this special pale edition. Rich, sweet malt balanced by a significant alcohol presence. The malt can have toasty qualities, some caramel, and occasionally a slight russet flavor. Its hops flavor and bitterness just offsets the malt sweetness enough to avoid an over-sweet character. The alcohol is smooth, not harsh or hot, and it helps the hop bitterness balance the strong malt presence. Your true finish should be of just malt and alcohol, but should have an impression of attenuation. Full to very full bodied with a moderate to moderately high carbonation. The significant alcohol is warm without sharp hotness, very smooth without harsh edges, bitterness, fusels, or other concentrated flavors. Overall Impression: A very strong and rich lager which happens to make this a bigger and maybe better version of either a traditional bock or a helles bock. As being a retired Army soldier, who was stationed a long time in Germany and knows of the famous Parkbrauerei / Park & Bellheimer AG in Pirmasens, Germany, the balance of this beer, excellent flavor, and easy drinkability make this one hell of a good brew. One of the best I have had the privilege of drinking, and very highly recommended.
