2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Growler... RBWG 2013... Pours lightly hazed and light yellow with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma is bursting at-the-seams with spiciness – overbearing notes of clove and coriander. Medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. The flavor is mildly sweet and loaded with clove spiciness. Lengthy, spicy finish. I could have lived without that overbearing, clove-like phenol. I’m no fan of that. Growler courtesy of ygtbsm94!

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Blonde golden coloured body with the slightest haze and a thin, one centimetre off-white head. Aroma of very light malt, some yeast and rice notes and a little floral hoppiness - not much though. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong malt flavour with some subdued sweetness, a hint of cardboard and staleness and a little hop touch at the end. Aftertaste shows some nice sweetness from honey and fruit and very little else aside from the malt. Overall, a decent light beer with an okay profile, but no real complexity and depth. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Arrowine in Arlington, Virginia after a hockey game on 13-November-2013 - Thanks Kev!

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 oz bottle Christmas beer for 2013 This is a style of beer that does not suit my taste. The ale poured a hazy amber with no head. The aroma was sweet fruit. The taste of a malt and some cloves. Light body with soft carbonation. Finish was spicy and typical of belgian ales.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I’m becoming a fan of Parkway. This Belgian style ale pours hazy, golden brown with a head that fades and leaves no lace, but a tenacious little ring along the outside. The aroma is the usual for a Belgian; bananas, peaches and mild cloves atop a buttery malt. The flavor brings that malt to the foreground and it closes with a nice, peppery tingle.

Bottle from the last local swap - thanks! Pours hazy amber with a small off-white head and some lacing. Aroma is grass, pepper, wheat, spices. Flavor is a bit odd, actually. Medium sweet, peppery, wheat. Medium body.

Clear golden color out of the bottle with a short lived white head. Nose of yeast, clove and some bubblegum. Lots of spice flavor with clove and the above referenced pear and banana. Strong yeast flavors. Nice beer.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Orange-golden, little to no head, and quite quiet. This has a musty edge, and drinks with a bit of a yeasty undertow, but it comes across as "off" more than "Belgian" IMHO, with a under-ripe pear flavor being dominate. (#5186, 7/30/2013)
