Aroma - lots of hop notes but that’s about it on the nose - lots of citrus notes. Tastes - not very complex, lots of bitterness from the hops, citrus finish. Pretty long finish, well-carbonated. Good, but nothing super exciting.

FROTHINGSLOSH (4785) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 17, 2014
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a murky tan-amber color with a small foamy orange-white head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was tangy and sweet honey and pine. The flavor was very sweet and tangy with notes of bread, honey and pine. Medium length sweet honey and pine finish. Moderately full bodied. Decent.

From a bottle it is a cloudy golden color with a slight head. The aroma is citrus with a hint of orange. The taste is a strong bitter flavor that has an aftertadte of grapefrut

Bottle. Poured a golden brown with a small white head. Murky citrus aroma. Deep bitter citrus flavor. Kind of sticky.

Growler. Thanks Darrell! Pours a transparent golden orange with lasting full head that leaves thick lacing. Aroma is malty with piney hop bitterness. Flavor is solid with balance of malt and hops. Citrus and sweet fruity complexity. Very nice.

This pours slightly hazy rusty amber with an average sized off-white head. Aroma that combines citrus hops, pine resin and sweet malts. The flavor is dominated by a crisp hop bitterness that goes all the way to the finish. Good malt support that does not interfere with making this a tasty one.

12oz bottle pours a mostly transparent dark orange, near brown, with some lacing, white head. Nose has heavy pine, a little rosemary, some orange juice that settled on the counter, mild malt, a little cardboard. Flavor is the same, malty, piney, orange, a little caramel, a little root veg, some wet paper. Full finish. Not my thing.

12 oz. Lightly hazy orange-copper with a lasting quarter inch of cream on top. Nose is orange toffee, resin and a touch of menthol and wood. Flavors of earthy caramel, toast, flowery resin, soapy wood and orange-lemon zest. Light body is pretty sessionable for 7.2 and has low-medium carbonation.

12 oz. bottle from Total Wine, Chesapeake, VA. Murky yellowish-orange pour with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of wet grass and faint tangerine. The flavor features more tropical fruit, citrus, and pine than I anticipated from the somewhat muted aroma but is still a bit on the sweet side and lacks an assertive hop punch that I would hope for in a "West Coast styled IPA". Good overall.

UPDATED: MAR 27, 2014 Tap pours hazy amber, small off white head, great lacing. Aroma is pine, caramel, spruce. Flavor follows, medium sweet, light bitter, pretty basic. Medium plus body, creamy mouthfeel. Followed up in bottle on 3/27/14; Quite sprucy actually, with a bit of a pine-sol finish.

Bottle after I got home from Asheville - the day after. Pours reddish amber with white head. Nose and taste of red fruits, candied fruits, resin and caramel malt. Medium body.
