4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUN 29, 2015 Aroma of citrus, tropical fruit and grass, flowing into a broad and complex bitterness that lasts long after the final drop. Slightly cloudy. A strong head robbed it of a little aroma, but overall very enjoyable.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear amber with persistent white head. Aromas of tropical fruits, but lighter than I would like. Flavour is of fruity hops and yeast esters. Biscuity malts and a clean, crisp, intense bitterness in the finish that lasts forever. The medium light body makes it more than drinkable.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at Beer Station, Xiamen on 28 March. Pours hazy golden brown with a white head. Aroma of pine and citrus. Bitter finish. This was the last one the head and from the shelf rather than the fridge so a bit colder might have done it some good.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a crystal clear copper colour. Aroma is grapefruit, citrus, earthy with some malt sweetness, suspect Columbus hops. Medium mouthfeel, taste is grapefuit rind, smooth lingering bitterness with hints of earthyness, licorice. Well balanced against malt. Overall a solid IPA.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
I thought...... that the aroma in this was muddy. I also thought that the hops were wet and turgid, and that the bitterness and sweetness were too far apart. This is not that I didn’t enjoy it, it’s just this is a bit disjointed and mixed in delivery. IPA is a big contest and this isn’t a contender .

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330mL BB 20/05/14
Pale copper gold body, decent clarity, holds a tight off-white foam with good lace.
Lifted hop aroma; melons, stonefruits, tropical fruits, bit of resiny woody sappy character with a solid biscuity malt undertone.
Full bodied, moderate carbonation, lingers for a good measure on the palate.
Hops aplenty on the body; grassy, sappy, unripe tropical fruits & stonefruit stone, with a healthy slug of bitterness that cuts through biscuity, nutty malt character.
Tidy sort of beer, probably not quite what I’d consider an IPA in body, but certainly in bitterness.
