3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Warm chocolate and orange hop aroma. Deep red colouring. At first I was a bit taken aback by how sweet it was in the mouth, so rich and malty, but thereís a orange-chocolate hoppiness going on back there. It looks and smells like an amber ale, but the complexity of the malt and fullness of the hops almost makes me think of a light-black IPA! Itís lovely. Fresh and fulling, a great sipper.

Very fruity hops aroma, amber/red colour and lasting white head. Mild citrus flavours and bitter aftertaste. Fruitier than I expected but not bad at all, give it a try.

Draft. At first sight it seems like a good one but after a few sips it?s a bit disapointing. The flavours, the body, it?s in there somewhere, But not really convincing.... Though it?s quote ok, no worries, you can order this.

UPDATED: NOV 16, 2013 Slowbeer (15-Nov-13) Light fruit hop caramel aroma. Red brown colour, good head and suds lacing. Lovely floral fruit and caramel malt flavour. Great floral spice fruit finish and tangy fruit floral aftertaste. Just a great balance of flavours and finish.

Taster, at Hoptoberfest, Volstead. The official description is perfect. Give an amber ale a NZ hopped bitterness and you certainly improve it.

The head is robust, the body red-brown. It smells fruty, hoppy, hoparomatic, fresh. The taste is hoparomatic, fruity, refreshing, malty, aomatic.

330mL bottle. Pours a nice clear ruby red with a small off white head and a nice grassy/cherry/toffee aroma. Has a big toffee flavour and an equally large spicey/citrus hop flavour, a unique beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Ruby red pour with a small, firm beige head. Nose is very malt driven with light floral hops behind it all. Lots of caramel, nutty malts and spice with a real meaty malt note to it. Taste is charred malt with light spices and nutty notes. Light floral and grassy hops. Works well and is very balanced. Nice

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a ruby red amber with a small off white head. Nose has brown sugar, butterscotch, grassy hops, toffee and a hint of citrus. Taste has that citrus grassy hop bitterness coming through backed by a caramel/toffee malt backing. Nice subtle sweetness. Very solid red ale.

Pours very dark copper with ruby hints and a large lasting head.
Nose shows nutty malt, bready hints, spicy and floral hops. Lovely malt character.
More sweet nutty malt as a flavours before spicy hops enter followed by an assertive bitterness. Slightly metallic.
Carbonation is too high.
