COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
On the stormy South Coast of our city, sky meets sea in a dramatic clash of the elements. But instead of fighting the waves, this brew embraces them. An NZ-hopped, pale ale base is lovingly married to a very special organic honey, infused with the salty goodness of smoked Wellington seaweed. This beautiful bee-goo is added to the fermentation process, resulting in a refreshingly hoppy pale ale, offset by underlying depths of smoky sweetness.

Bottle. A bit like that salty SeaDog propped up at the end of the bar, this is smoky but with a soft sweetness.

I really like this ale. It’s rich and full, with a delicious smokiness carried over a nice bright hop flavour. The smoky flavour is very robust, and the whole beer carries it forward on a sweet body and morish aftertaste. My favourite from the "Wellington In A Pint" four-pack.

Light red/orange colour with thick white head. Seaweed salty aroma. Hop bitterness with subtle smokey aftertaste.

Deep amber gold in appearance. Smoke, honey, malt, fruit sweetness, a hint of caramel and spice on the nose. Taste follows aroma with big malt, medium carbonation and a sticky mouthfeel. Finish is long with NZ hop bitterness. A very interesting and rather nice beer.
