Bottle from the brewery. Cloudy amber, with lumps in. Thick, lasting, off white head. Very light, dry white wine aroma. A little toastiness. Taste is dried fruit dry. Light tartness. Soggy, sweet palate. Finish is dry. Some white grape sweetness. Hate giving a Partizan beer a crap rating...

Bottle from Partizan Brewery, Bermondsey on the London Hicksters Crawl, Saturday 26th Westholme Stores, consumed at Hastings Touring Park, Hastings Saturday 3rd May 2014 A cloudy murky brown colour with an attractive white head. Very slight sourness on the nose, this does not follow through into the mouth. A little chewy with flavours typical of a Barley Wine but this is a little raggy around the edges, the fruity tang a little rough and the alcohol clearly rears its head as this is indeed a big beer. Maybe I should have left this to mature a while as I was unimpressed. A5 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 2.9

opaque orangey amber with tight creamy beige head. Rich malty nose with herbal Piney hop nose. Light carbobation, sweet, dry piney hops, caramel, fairly savoury. American barley wine territory but pretty drinkable.

worldbeertaste (1619) - AUSTRIA - JAN 7, 2014
Hazy amber with a white, bubbly, lacy, lasting head. Smells of an IPA with pineapple with real cherries, caramel and malt. Medium oily body. Tastes of toasted malt and moves to a roasty, malty, red fruit, middle and a fresh fruity finish. Not bad. Sort of a mixed style. Barley wine mixed with an brown ale.

Bottle 4th January 2014. Mucky orange colour with no lasting head or lacing. Aroma is light toffee, sticky marmalade, some hops. Flavour is candied fruits, stewed orange, rock shandy. Not much booze punching through for the ABV. Excellent barley wine that I hope stays around in the range. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
