Bottle at jackl’s tasting, and again jackl is the most likely culprit, thanks! Cloudy very pale yellow color, fizzy white head. Aroma of earthy, dank lemon, straw. Taste is smooth, lightly bitter straw, easy to drink.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at Beer Rebellion. It pours cloudy gold with a thick white head. The nose is fresh, pine, orange peel, grapefruit, soap and sweet dough. The taste is bitter, dough, spice, earth, citrus peel, orange peel, brioche, touch of pine and varnish with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Great balance. Very nice indeed.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml bottle from Cotteridge Wines, thanks to Simon. Quite a lively one this, looked like a big foamy bubble bath in the glass. Pale yellow appearance, crisp, light, lime, melon, pith, herbs with bitter lemon cheesecake on the finish. Quite a curious one this Ahtanum. Decent.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle @ home, thanks John! Pour is very foamy like a duvel, aroma is citrus, pineapple, orange, lychee and other fruits. Flavour is dry citric light bitter of above fruits, all covered in lemon juice. Somehow very much like duvel, but then fresher, more tastier and less than halve the alcohol. Ultimate hot weater bbq drink.

Grass and lemon zest nose. Cloudy golden, medium head, good lacing. Fizzy and light. Tastes as it smells, possibly a bit grassier. Easily sessionable.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at home in London - picked up from the brewery. The beer doesn’t gush but it is quite over-carbonated - just FYI! Pours mostly clear gold with a huge, billowing white head that eventually settles into a thick, whipped cream topping. Interesting aroma, definitely some soap, maybe lavender, a bit of pale bread, hay. Light sweet flavor with nips of tangy lemon, pale bread, slight minerality, a bit of bitter hay. Light bodied with average to lively carbonation. Finishes with further pale citrus character, understated malt structure, faint lavender, lemon peel. Pretty drinkable overall but the beer certainly has its quirks.
