Bottle at home from ales by mail
Hazy burnished amber gold with fluffy beige head. Herbal pine and grapefruit peel. Medium carbonation and body, quite dry chalky bitterness, past its best but that’s my fault.

Keg @ CBC Clerkenwell. The pour’s slightly hazy deep gold with a small head. Super bright tropical fruit nose. Plenty of pineapple, mango, grapefruit etc. Cotton candy sweets. The taste is bright grapefruit citrus. Moderately bitter. A touch of pine. Clean malts in support. Dry finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Overall, really well done. Just a squeaky clean, well-executed APA. Nice.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
33cl bottle from the brewery and drunk at home. Orange gold colour slight haze thick rocky off white head. Yes a fruity tasty pale ale. Jeez, Partizan and Kernel are just so much further ahead than the other London brewers. Grapefruit and earthyly led by the Cascade. I guess the Willamette is slightly sweet, so a kind of blackcurranty grapefruit. Quite tart and earthy. But the grapefruit is good. Good bitterness on finish. Good.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma: Lemon, grass and slightly vegetal.
Appearance: Murky golden body with a massive white head. Light carbonation. Excellent lacing.
Taste: Lemon and lime, biscuity malt. Good bitterness.
Palate: Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft carbonation.
Overall: A decent APA, but I’d prefer a bit more malt sweetness to counteract the sharp hops.
