On tap @ Haandfest 2014. A really good looking head on this. Huge, white and lacing like hell. The beer itself is light golden and it has a soft blurr. Smells a but untypical with some strange white chocolate thing. Some birches and grass also. Quite untypical for a pale ale imo but I like it. Quite lively on the bubbles and it’s thin oily in the mouth. A lot better/different in the taste than the aroma suggested. Quite grassy. Fresh and really questions quenchable this. Something I could drink lots of. 24.05.2014

Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, citrus, grape and hint of caramel. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter with a long fruity finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle 330ml.

Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, dusty malt, pale malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, grass, citrus, dusty hops. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, earthy hops, sweet fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130811]

Bottle, Luvians, St Andrews, Fife. Vivid hazy orange pour with a small lingering white head. Grassy hop in the snout in tandem with some nice citrus. The flavour unfolded in similar fashion with tasty tropical fruit notes leading to a dry bitter finish. Very drinkable and hard to fault.

Pale, slight greyish haze and a white swirl of head. Dusty, soft lemon wooly nose. Initial taste is a zingy blanket, buzzing with fresh and unripened fruit. Almost salty edge to the finish, clammy/chalky at the top but an almost bretty avalanche sneaks in just in time for a superb mouthfeel finish.
This doesn’t pack limey crunch I’d hoped, especially for the citra involved, but the mouthfeel couldn’t be better matched for the lack of this and structure keep everything else in check.

330ml bottle from Hippo Beers. Hazy pale golden yellow, good foamy head. Strange musty spicy lemon biscuit aroma. Dry citrus biscuit grain flavour. Dry bitter citrus aftertaste. An unusual but good pale ale.

jamestulloch (1391) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 28, 2013
Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy pale golden body with a few chunky yeast flecks floating around. Medium white head that holds well and leaves nice lacing marks. Aroma of lemon sherbet, tangy orange, mango and fairy cakes. Sweet and tangy lemony flavour. Low bitterness. Medium body with an oily, almost creamy texture. Average carbonation. A decent American Pale Ale with a nice balance of sweet and sour flavours.

EdKing (1872) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 28, 2013
Bottle at the brewery in the company of Harrisoni and HogTownHarry. Light pale amber, very subtle haze, bubbly white head. Nose is lemon and grapefruit citrous, flinty minerally, slight urine sourness, some freshly laid tarmac earthiness. Taste is very flinty minerally, light cereal grain husk, light citrous lemon and grapefruit bitterness, with some subtle sourness on the finish too.

HogTownHarry (6108) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - AUG 25, 2013
August 24, 2013 - 330ml bottle consumed at the brewery. Bubbly with light floaties hazy gold, really solid creamy white lasting head. Bright aroma, light, good citra cattiness and citrus zest - appealing, just enough light tropical fruit to frame the hops. Taste - yep, lightly fruity (hint of apricot and green pineapple), catty with more dry citrus zest bitterness, a little alcohol presence, but nice a well-meshed. Average body, solid carbonation, medium-long finish, light palate coating - very drinkable, well-made.
