3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
30th June 2013
Hazy pale gold beer, little white head. Palate is minerally crisp and with light dryness. Good grapefruit hops with lesser bitter marmalade and pith. Thin clean malt underneath. Finishes crisp. Clean and refreshing and ironically a little hoppier than itís big brother.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from the brewery drunk at home. Hazy orange gold colour lasting beige head. Late summer evening sun and The Cure. Soft easy drinking yet lovely APA. Exactly what I want an APA to be. Drinkable in mouth, yet some really interesting and flavoursome hops. Grapefruit, orange and tropical fruit melange. Outside of Cascade and Amarillo this beer has my favourite hops in. Some sherbert on finish. Some lasting bitterness too. Yes I find Andyís beers a bit more bitter than Kernelís which I think is a good thing, I like a hoppy beer to be bitter. An almost perfect modern APA.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at home in London - picked up at the brewery. Pours lightly hazy gold with a tight, creamy white head. Lots of dried, pithy citrus in the aroma, some tangerine and grapefruit especially. Light sweet flavor with dry citrus, minerals, dry and lightly dusty pale malts, some pine needles. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Moderate dryness to finish, more pithy citrus fruits, a bit of sand, vaguely biscuity pale malts. Tasty and very drinkable APA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at Euston Tap. It pours clear golden yellow with a small white head. The nose is sweet tropical fruit.... orange, mango, tinned pineapple, pine and earth. The taste is bitter pine, resin, grapefruit, pithy orange, lemon rind, earth and grass with a rather dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not quite as vibrant as other Partizan pales. Decent nonetheless.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle at the brewery, lots of sediment, murky, slightly flat tasting. Some cardboard and sawdust vibes, a bit of fruit, not a bad aftertaste, though slightly chalky, but this one isnít great alas.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Borough Wines [Wilton Way]. Pours vibrant, clear orange with a small white head which reduces to a thin film on top. Touch of spotty lacing. Nose shows very sweet citric fruits, tangerine and mango, and heavy handed grass. Touch of grapefruit there too. Taste is sweet tangerine and lychee with heavy juiced citrus tones. A fresh grassy finish. Palate is medium to thin with a short bitter sweet finish. Solid stuff
