Flaska från Ales by mail. Relativt kraftig för alkoholstyrkan, mjuk rund med tydlig kaffe, choklad och coca cola-karaktär. En riktigt trevlig porter.

Bottle from brewery. Stop #2 on Bermondsey beer mile. Not sure if this is the right Porter. Aroma of bitter coffee and biscuit and hint of chocolate. Bitter chocolate flavour with strong coffee overtones.

Bootle. Black in colour with ruby reflexes, beige small head. Aroma of chocolate, toasted malts, caramel. Roastiness on low level. In taste similar, grainy with dried fruits and chocolate. Medium to low body, softly carbonated. All diniahed with medium bitterness. Nice.

Dark brown color with beige head. Faint roasty smell. Taste is also a bit subdued. Carbonation is a bit high for a porter. Overall it’s a decent beer but nothing to look out for.

Wygląd: Drobno i średnio ziarnista, puszysta, dość wysoka piana. Opada powoli z ogromnym lacingiem. Barwa piwa - czarna, nieprzejrzyste. Zostawia czekoladowy posmak.

1.2.2015. Nose has tangy malts, ash. Taste has this same very tangy malty ashy taste. I dont like it at all. Either sth was wrong or then it really has something which makes me not want to drink it at all.

33cl bottled bottled 07/2014, courtesy of tderoeck, merci! @5,6% Bit of a challenge to find the right abv batch among these... Gratifying black steel & ash pour, quite fizzy, spurting forth black roast, ash, bitter chocolate powder, crust, unroasted coffee bean. Bit too thin for my porter likes, would like the aromas to translate and linger in taste longer, Fuller’s style. Good bitterness, harsh burnt peel - postmodern porter in that way.

Bottled, 330ml from Leamington Wines, Leamington Spa, Warks. Very dark brown with cream, explosive, head. This had a bit of a lactic, chocolatey note initially with a baked graininess, roasty note. Some sweetness in the close. Acceptable.
