Bottled 13/12/13. A black beer with an off-white head. This produced a volcanic gush on opening and I lost well over half the bottle which is totally unacceptable. Nice flavours with good hops and good bitterness. Slightly roasty. A bit of an infected note to the thin aroma. Good points but some really bad things going on.

Bottled. Brownish black colour with a big foamy beigeish brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, mild toffee, raisins and quite strong toasted and nutty notes. Flavour is toasted malts, nuts, mild ashes, sweet maltiness as well as some liquorice. Gusher alert, otherwise this was rather pleasant.

Bottled 24.02.2013 - Gusher alert! Pours pitch black with a massive foamy head that just keeps on coming. Aroma of sweet grainy and roasty malts, hints of chocolate, licorice and syrup. Taste is sweet, carbonated and grainy with hints of roastiness, chocolate and rye. Finish is smooth, roasty and hoppy with hints of chocolate, rye and licorice. Okay, sweetish porter.

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. This dark black-brown beer exploded out of the bottle and all over the kitchen work-top! It has a huge billowy tan head with chocolate and coffee flavours followed by a creamy chocolate and vanilla finish.
