3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from brewery. Very pale only slightly hazy, almost clear, big foaming white head which dissipates to thin. Amarillo is a hop that is really growing on me. Nose is orange and lemon citrous, flinty minerally, some saison yeast funk, slight baked meringue, lemon peel, little bit spicy. Taste is funky saison yeast, fruit estery lots of lemon and orange citrous, lemon peel, tangy yeast.Nice light and delicate.

330ml bottle. Hazy amber with a good white head that settles pretty quickly. Lovely delicate zesty aroma. Similarly zesty flavour, floral, light spice and herbal notes. Nice and subtle, well balanced and very drinkable. A very good Saison.

Bottle from Great Grog. Hazy pale golden body with a thin white head. Lively carbonation. Aroma of lemon, minerals, salt and yeast. Flavour of citrus, lemongrass and musty yeast. Medium body with an oily texture. Very fizzy. Amarillo’s mineral quality is well suited to this style.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from the brewery and drunk at home on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Hazy pale gold with thin white head. Attractive lemony hoppy aroma. Wow, that is light and delicate and utterly gorgeous. The Lemongrass and Lychee was supposed to be good, but I think this is better. Light and stunningly drinkable. Now that is really good. Delightful beer.

Bottled Oct 2013, had at a BYOB with friends so a short review. Yellow, hazy, slightly sparkling, white head. Smell - toned down citrus esters. Body - medium, carbonation is fairly high. Taste - lemon, shandy, fruit esters, slightly bitter finish. Decent.
