Pours hazy pale yellow with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, lemongrass, yeast and pepper. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with a long lemongrass finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Sample at Haand 2014
Light yellow, white head. Smell of lemongrass, spices, light malts, yeast esters. Light sweet, some malt elements, quite crisp, dry palate, spicy. Moderate bitter. Quite nice saison, the lemongrass works well as an extra spicy element

Immediately you recognize this as a saison, they’ve got it down pat. Taste is front loaded, aftertaste could use a bit more sweetness. Starts great though.

330 ml bottle. BB 22/07/2014. From alesbymail.co.uk.
Clear yellow golden colour with a tiny white head. Yeast, grain, lemon, mild sourness, pickles and a touch of hops in the aroma. The flavour is yeast, lemon, mild sourness and mild bitterness. I don’t know if it’s the fourth Partizan Saison Grisette or is this really much better than the earlier ones?

Golden body, white head. Aroma has, well, lemon, later pickled cucumber. Only thing is that it is overwhelming. Flavour is mixed malt and lemon.

Lovely spritzy taste on the palate with a lovely subtle hint of lemongrass, a lovely gold colour, just how boddingtons used to be if you can remember that beer, a lovely tight head, which stays with the beer, all the way down the glass.

330 ml bottle from Ales By Mail, served in a Teku. Bottled on 22-07-2014. Pours a light golden orange, pretty clear, with a tiny bright white head which dissipated almost instantly like a soda. Unusual aroma, tons of lemongrass, quite earthy and spicey, with some thymes notes. Feeling almost like a perfume or a delicate incense. Very lemony in the mouth, with some grain/hay and white bread flavour. Maybe a bit of coriander as well and a light tart feeling. Lively carbonation, light to medium body, and oily texture. Unique saison, I’m still not sure if I’m very fond of it, but props for out of the box thinking.
