Bottle @ home. Aroma is chocolate, roast, coffee, light vanilla. Flavour is quite bitter roast with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, roast. Long lingering roasty bitterness. Nice.

Bottle @ Christer. Dark brown, big tan head that last, good lacing. Aroma, roasted malts, chocolate and lots of it, coffee, . Taste, roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, licorice. Really nice roasted bitterness. Dry liquorice aftertaste, with roasted notes.

Clear dark black brown colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, coffee, strong coffee. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, sweet roasted, dark roasted, coffee, malt bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft. [20130811]

Bottle courtesy of rlgk. Pours hazy blackish brown with a big frothy and creamy mocha head that slowly dissipates while leaving a small trace on the glass. Smell is Malty with toasted malts, sweet liquorice candy, dark chocolate, watered down coffee, moist soil, toasted grains, oatmeal cookies and hay. Taste is bitter and very tiny sour with roasted malts, bitter chocolate, dark roast coffee, sweet liquorice candy, charred wood, moist soil, cookie dough, straw and caramel. Mouthfeel is round, soft, slightly roasted astringent and medium bodied. finish is bitter with roasted malts, bitter chocolate, salty liquorice candy, charred wood, dark roast coffee, lemon peal, grass and moist soil. Pretty damn tasty!

Bottle at "Darkness comes to town", 131116. Black beer with a nice beige head. Roasted chocolate aroma, leather, cocoa, tar, licorice, smoked notes, fruity, some hay. Roasted cocoa and coffee flavor, dark chocolate, tar, figs, smoked, some ash. Heavy roasted finish with dark chocolate, peat, tar, ash and leather. Good beer.
