Bottle 330ml.

Clear dark black brown colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, coffee, strong coffee. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, sweet roasted, dark roasted, coffee, malt bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft. [20130811]

Bottle courtesy of rlgk. Pours hazy blackish brown with a big frothy and creamy mocha head that slowly dissipates while leaving a small trace on the glass. Smell is Malty with toasted malts, sweet liquorice candy, dark chocolate, watered down coffee, moist soil, toasted grains, oatmeal cookies and hay. Taste is bitter and very tiny sour with roasted malts, bitter chocolate, dark roast coffee, sweet liquorice candy, charred wood, moist soil, cookie dough, straw and caramel. Mouthfeel is round, soft, slightly roasted astringent and medium bodied. finish is bitter with roasted malts, bitter chocolate, salty liquorice candy, charred wood, dark roast coffee, lemon peal, grass and moist soil. Pretty damn tasty!

Bottle at "Darkness comes to town", 131116. Black beer with a nice beige head. Roasted chocolate aroma, leather, cocoa, tar, licorice, smoked notes, fruity, some hay. Roasted cocoa and coffee flavor, dark chocolate, tar, figs, smoked, some ash. Heavy roasted finish with dark chocolate, peat, tar, ash and leather. Good beer.

Pours pitch black with a good creamy lacing tanned head. Aroma is smokey roasted malty dry a bit ashy. Flavor is very nice; lean yet rough roastiness, some dark fruits very bitter dark chocolate and coffee.

Bottle from the Partizan Brewery on 26 October. Poured an oily black with a large and dense tan head. Brilliant, full aroma of dark fruit, toffee and huge roast. Velvety mouth feel, absolutely spot on. Flavours of coffee, burnt sugar and tobacco. Finish was a perfect balance of burnt malts, espresso and molasses. Truly superb beer.

Bottle: Aroma is malty and roasty. Black color, creamy brownish head. Flavor is malty, sweet with intensive notes of toffee, licorice, dark chocolate, cacao, roasted malts and sweetness. Roasty, cacao bitter finish.

Black, moderate tan head; aroma of ash and milk chocolate; taste is heavily roasted malt, bitter chocolate, a touch smoky; hop bitterness increases and is quite intense at the finish; a very sound if somewhat aggressive stout.

[10/5/13] Bottle at the brewery in London. Dark black with a tan head. Nice roasty coffee-ish aroma. Roasty and coffee-ish flavor, bittersweet, with a lingering bitter finish. Medium-bodied, kinda silky. Very nice.
