330ml, 7.1% BB Feb 2015. Black, bubbly brown head. Aroma is oily, earth, some smoke. Body is medium, smooth, rounded, low carbonation. Taste is ash, smoke, oily and bitter, nice hoppy astringency, burnt coffee. Nice ashy, savoury vibe. These Partizan stouts are made to a great recipe. This one’s not quite as good as the 8.4%, but still hitting the right notes for me. Another excellent stout from these guys.

Label claims only 7% ABV Small to medium, rusty-beige head, stable over jet-black beer, well-carbonated. Roasted, burnt, slightly coffee-like aroma; mocha, toffee and very faintly ureum. Bitter-roasted, some sweet maltiness underneath. Black chocolate, very faint ashes; some dark berries retronasal. Creamy MF, despite good carbonation. Aftertaste has some alcohol. sweet & warm. Everything - but the label - very classic.
