Bottle from the Partizan Brewery on 26 October. Poured an oily black with a large and dense tan head. Brilliant, full aroma of dark fruit, toffee and huge roast. Velvety mouth feel, absolutely spot on. Flavours of coffee, burnt sugar and tobacco. Finish was a perfect balance of burnt malts, espresso and molasses. Truly superb beer.

330ml bottle from Borough Wines, Stoke Newington. A delicious stout, as always from Partizan. Fairly sweet with raisins, fruit cake, dusty chocolate and lovely smooth malts. Hugely enjoyable and deceivingly strong.

Bottle shared at the brewery RBESG. Opaque black with a nice loose tan head. Aroma is ashy roast, nutty and some dried fruits and touch of booze. Flavour is smooth dark roast, slight ashy, mineral and some sweet caramel rounds things out. Palate is full and rounded, moderate carbonation. Long lingering roast. Very tasty. Quite sweet.

33cl bottle from the brewery. Black beer with a lasting dark beige head. Intense dark choc and coffee aroma, more dark choc. Like 85% cocoa dark Belgian choc. Quite dry. Good tasty stout, hides alcohol well. It’s a good beer. So drinkable for not my favourite style.

330 ml bottle.
Pours a pitch black colour with an off-white creamy head. Aroma of strong roasted malts, chocolate biscuit, grass and licorice. Flavour is very rich with strong roasted malts, mildly burnt bread, biscuit, mudcake, licorice, big grassy and earthy bitterness and hay. Full bodied, oily mouthfeel and a rich, malty, bitter, mudcake finish. Pretty much as good as their FES. Great stuff once again. Cheers, Partizan.
