Cask@Melton Mowbray Beer Festival 2007. Golden beer with a light head. The aroma is toffee and the flavour is fruity, toffee, bitter and spiced. Overall a nice dry, fruity and toffee beer.

Cask, Aikman’s Cellar Bar. Golden yellow with a thin white head. Nose is pretty hoppy with some yeast. Little sherbert. Mouth is hoppy bitter, some sweet tones on the swallow. Sharp citrus palate giving lasting bitterness. Alright, wouldn’t have it again.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Newshouse Nottingham. A golden coloured beer with a sparkled white head and lacing. The aroma has yeasty notes and a touch of hops. The taste is a little bitter and citric. A little uninteresting, but OK.

This clear yellow beer has a floral, sweet aroma. Flavour, too are sweet with a light floral character. There is some sharp licourice sourness in there as well. Good but not spectacular.

Cask, The Shovels, Blackpool. The Anglo Dutch Brewery was started up in 2000 by an Englishman and a Dutchman, hence the name. The Yorkshire accent in the name of the beer (T'Way) betrays the brewery's location. This is a very tasty example of a Pale Golden Ale. There is a soft sweet citric flavour - quite flowery like elderflower wine. Quite delicate. Near the middle there is some mushy ripe pear, finishing with a twist of grapefruit.
