3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 SilkTork (4898) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, - MAY 14, 2003Cask, The Shovels, Blackpool. The Anglo Dutch Brewery was started up in 2000 by an Englishman and a Dutchman, hence the name. The Yorkshire accent in the name of the beer (T'Way) betrays the brewery's location. This is a very tasty example of a Pale Golden Ale. There is a soft sweet citric flavour - quite flowery like elderflower wine. Quite delicate. Near the middle there is some mushy ripe pear, finishing with a twist of grapefruit.

very poor head with some cloudy signs. a very thin mouth feel. slight hop taste but not that interesting. beer as a strange earthy, yeasty aftertaste which could be poor attenuation or over use of finings

Market Porter, Borough 4 Nov 12. Veldig lys gylden. Litt skum som fester seg litt til glasset. Svak maltaroma. Smaken tam. Litt syrlighet kan spores i ettersmaken.

Gravity, 3rd Hinckley BF. Pale and misted, scant white halo. Instant Belgium aroma: mushed wheat and coriander? Mealy crushed lemon puff biscuit wheat and spice- a one trick pony. Reminds me of a shandy made from the crap version of Carolus Spoons get in for the festivals, or Leffe. Hopless, dominated by breakfast cereals, Leffe sprinkles. Drinkably bland. Not what I was hoping for.

Cask conditioned at Far from the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Gold with white head. Initially quite sulpherous, then a plummy fruitiness with a touch of greengage. A slight perfumey hop to finish but all a little low on impact. Reasonable.
