Currently drinking as I am typing. Aroma of sharp citrus and alcohol also smells sweet on the nose. Nice golden slightly hazy colour but topped with a head that lacks substance, short lived bubbly white head that consists of big soapy looking bubbles. The taste is almost similar to the Pater Lieven Wit, a bit too sweet for a blond beer also flavours of yeast, Danish breads and a tiny hop flavour that goes quick in the aftertaste. The feeling is lacking in a solid mouth feel, it leaves the throat slightly dry and also has no top lip sensation from lack of a full head. Ok beer I guess, not as nice as the Wit personally but is fairly drinkable. Not a must have I’m afraid.

Bottle, 6.5%. Light golden color with a modest head. The nose is sweet, lemon and grassy hops, light pale malts. Inviting if simple. The taste is lightly bitter with medium sweetness. Reasonably nice, acidic aftertaste. This is an easy-drinking, uncomplicated blond that would be great for a picnic or barbecue.

Bottle: Golden, a bit hazy, stable white foam, fruity-orangey nose, coriander, too, pale malt and a small amount of hops detectable; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light(!) to medium bodied; short and slightly tart sweet-bitter finish, coriander and oranges again underneath. Uncomplicated, pleasant belgian Ale.......

20/11/2011 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 3/8/13 (2011-657)

Clear blond beer, fizzy big off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: herbal, grassy, lemon peel, some candi sugar, bit of cardboard, grains. MF: lots of carbon, too much actually, light body. Taste: lemony, grapefruit bitter, bit medicinal, some candi sugar yet not very sweet. Aftertaste: grains, little bitter, lemon juice, weird "off"-flavour.

Bottle. Malty cereal aroma with citrus, light spice, dough. Deep gold tending to orange tints, medium fine head. Citrus, grass flavor withh medium biscuity malts. Quite a bit of residual sweetness that the slight citrus tang cannot quite balance. Not much bitterness at all, really. Fruity flavors are nice enough, though.
