33cL blonde. Hazy golden color with a nice white head. Slight sweetness from a honey flavor. Nice beer.

Couleur dorée orangé, beau petit col blanc. Nez bien malté, levures et notes fruitées. Gout malté, levures typique belges, notes fruitées. Corps moyen. Fin fruitée, on peux y trouver une petite acidité.

Bottle, 33cL. Home. A sparkling golden orange beer with yellow hues at the bottom of my glass ; many bubbles ; big white head with a great retention. Fruity aroma (citrus), biscuit, light herbal. Medium sweet, light bitter. Light body, medium silky texture, soft carbonation, herbal sweet finish. Overall, a good average belgian beer : beautiful, herbal, sweet, light body.

33cl bottle from Arnoldus, Gouda. Thin white head. Clear golden pour. It’s an ok blond, not really my style.

the aroma is malty with some fruity and yeast notes... the taste is rough, malty with noticeable hoppy bitterness and some shades of citrus and herbs... dry, sweet and bitter aftertaste...

Classic blond session ale in abbey beer style, named after a local saint and launched in 1996. Irregular, coarse, medium thick, yellowish white head, pure golden blonde colour, misty. Malty, creamy and fruity nose, apple, melon, peach, cheese, butter, fennel, straw, white pepper, flour, honey. Fruity but not too sweet taste, pale malts, bit grainy, refreshing, somewhat creamy mouthfeel, buttery, with mild grassy hops in the finish. I have the impression this is now more hopped than it used to be - and therefore improved.

(Pater Lieven Blond) Bottle 330 ml at home, into a tulip. ABV 6.5% Golden orange colour on the body, crystal clear, with a big white head sitting on top. Good density, good retention too, it leaves medium lacing on the glass. Nice fruity aroma, with ripe pears, peaches, apricot, some yeast. Taste is slightly nutty, with nice fruity touches on the finish, again ripe pears and also a bit of the yeast. Refreshing. Medium thin on the body while the carbonation is on the high side. A quite good beer, certainly doesn’t reinvent the wheel but it goes down smoothly.

Medium offwhite head. Clear yellow body. Spicy metallic strawy aroma with waxy notes. Dryish mealy watery taste with spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Fizzy mouthfeel, slightly sharp. Dryish spicy herbal aftertaste with boiled water and fruit notes. Nice, drinkable, not a standout. (0.33l draft at Heeren van Liedekercke.)
