Dark ruby color, big off-white head. Sweet aroma, fruity (raisins), metallic, some herbal notes and lime peels. Suprisingly light. Carbonated and hard mouthfeel, licorice presence, a bit grassy too. As sayravai commented: watered version of Gouden Carolus -line. Drinkable but simple and light.

Brown colour, lot of sprankling, average off white head. Sweet malty aroma, fruity (some light citrus hints) and herby (grass). Full sweet palate, creamy. Finish is light bitter, some burned and sweeter near the end but rather short. Not bad.

Dark brown with a large off-white head. Sweet aroma with liquorice notes. The taste has some sweet fruit and malt and a little sourness, but I struggle to find much else to say. It’s a bit on the weak and watery side, lacking intensity.

This beer has a dark brown body - hue apperance and a coarse licht brown scum collar. I have drunk the beer from the bottle and it had a lot of carbonic acid. The initial flavor taste is fruity.

Pours a lot like a soda. Bubbley darker red/brown body with a very soda-like tan head. Kind of a weak, malty aroma. The flavor is carmel malts and nuts with a bad molasses-like finish. Not much going on here. Drinkable once you get past the aftertaste.

This is generally my safest bet when it comes too new beers as i love the style, but maybe im running out of good one’s. Aroma seems minimal though as it settles around, with great head retention i must say, gives some sweetish nutty fruity notes, as i love but just not enough of them. Taste is also minimal with sameilar flavours to the aroma. This is a weaker belgiun fellow so im not suprised it is a little weaker, but a little too weak maybe.

Bottled. A chestnut brown coloured beer with very little head. The aroms is thin with only a little nuttiness coming through. The taste is also too thin, some wood and nuts but disappointingly dull.

Marcello’s Wine Market, Baton Rouge, La. - 11.2 oz bottle. Pours a cola colored dark brown with a mocha colored head - decent - sticky lacing. Slightly winey aroma, a bit of chocolate. Flavor is slightly winey with some sweet date notes and some back end vinegary notes, suffering a bit from age obviously, bottle says best by end of 2003. Mouthfeel is still thick and somewhat creamy though. Will look for a bottle with a better date.

33 cl Bottle. Yeat in bottom. Dark brown colour with a light brown head. Very fizzy mouthfull. Sweet aroma, very malty taste, not a very complex brune, some watery aftertaste.

Dark brown, small head. Aroma from ash, licorice and some metal. SMoky ash flavor with hops and a bitter finish.
