vyvvy (1755), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Mar 27, 2008 Thanks to drmatt for sharing this tripel ~ looks like I liked the bottle more than xmarcnolanx. Pours golden copper with a ton of dancing carbonation with a dense white head. The aroma has spice, some sweetness, light banana and pale / pils malt. Medium / full body with slick smoothness and soft carbonation. The flavor starts with some spice, sweet light malt and some tinniness. The finish is a bit grainy and lightly sour. Okay beer.
pepperford (108), robbinsdale, Minnesota, USA Sep 7, 2008 lightly cloudy, bright white head that disapates quickly. Aromas of bread, lemon, a touch of soap in the end. Sweetness, but not over powering, followed by lemon/citrus and a lightly full mouth feel. Borresteijn (584), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 19, 2008 On tap. Golden copper colour, white head. Aroma of fruits, sweetness, malts. Flavour is soft and sweet, fruity, malty, bit spicy. Slightly sour finish. Nice tripel. goldtwins (3740), Nesconset, New York, USA Aug 18, 2008 RBSG ’08: Poured a hazed golden amber color with an off-white head. Aged caramel malt aroma and flavor. Some yeasty spice again in the aroma and flavor. Medium bodied. stankenk (60), Maplewood, Minnesota, USA Aug 11, 2008 Pours a gold color with very thick head. The nose is a strong yeast with light notes of orange and citrus fruits. It comes across the palate rather weak with notes of orange, however it does have light tart finish. thewolf (3963), Kolding, Denmark Aug 10, 2008 Bottle, bought @ Pivni Gallerie, Prague.
Pours golden with a big, bubbly/fizzy off-white head. Lots of bubbles. Aroma is yeasty, oranges, light citric. High-ish carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Flavour is a little weak, some clear spicy yeastiness, a touch of tart oranges and a bit vinious. Okay tripel.
