Bottled. Hazy goldeny orange colour with a mediumsized foamy white head, that leaves good lace. Aroma is wheat, bready malts, some slight zesty, spicy and hebral notes along with mild banana as well. Flavour is rather similar with some sourish wooden notes.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Schaut im Glas schön orangig aus, und es kommt mir unglaublich trüb vor. Der Geruchstest fällt spritzig fruchtig frisch aus. Der Antrunk ist säuerlich fruchtig. Zudem ist das Weizen wirklich gut süffig. Da ich gelesen hab dass das Bier der unteren Preisklasse zuzuordnen ist, gibt’s nen extra Punkt für Preis-Leistung. Zwar gibt’s wesentlich bessere Weizen, aber am Pater Rudi gibt’s eigentlich nix auszusetzen.

(bottle) Cloudy, golden colour with a big foamy white head. Slightly dusty wheat-malty and sour-fruity aroma with notes of ripe citrus and clovy phenols. Mildly sweet and sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Delicately grainy wheaty taste with traces of cara-malt and fruity notes of citrus, lemon; slightly sweet and sour-fruity finish with cloves and a grainy touch in the aftertaste. Refreshing. Hefiger und leicht fruchtiger Geruch. hefig im Antrunk, wird das Bier dann buttriger, sahniger. Es folgt eine recht angenehme aromatische Mitte und ein malzig würziger Abschied.

Prickelnd hefig-herber Antrunk mit minimaler Säuerlichkeit. Erfrischend und sehr süfig, dafür sorgt auch eine angenehme und nicht aufdringliche Süße. Im Verlauf bleibt das Bier auf diesem angenehmen Level und ist somit ein gelungenes Sommerweizen. Die Aromen sind nicht wirklich fordernd oder gar besonders, harmonieren aber miteinander und geben zum Ende sogar eine leichte malzige Würze hinaus. Erfrischend und süffig – gut! 8/11/12/12/9/11
