Kr1zz (385) - BELGIUM - JUN 29, 2016
Bottle 33cl bought at Dranken Geers in Oostakker. Pours clear brown/red (Autumn) with spices floating around and a beige/light brown creamy head. Nose: dried fruits (banana, raisins....), malts, honey. Taste: medium carbonation, roasted malts, hints of bitterness. A sweet feeling with dried fruits that is well balanced. A slightly warm alcoholic feeling that lasts. Some cloves and somekind of an earthy texture to it.

Bottle @ home. Hazy reddish color, full sized beige head that lasts for quite a while. Smell and taste malts, lightly sweetish, some caramel, caramel sugar, brown malts. Average to medium body and average carbonation.

Alengrin (4420) - BELGIUM - SEP 14, 2014
Organic ’massieve ale’ commissioned by Natura. Beige, moussy head, dark bronze colour. Fruity esters dominate the nose, I get raisins and apple juice; otherwise coriander, caramel, coffee, some DMS (red cabbage), candi syrup and some alcohol. Fruity, sweet, deep malty taste with a lot of coriander, some roasted bitterishness in the finish as well as badly hidden, somewhat astringent alcohol. Not too well balanced.

Pours cloudy chestnut brown with large beige head. Faint, sour aroma. Alcoholic, yeasty flavour. Not very good.

Troebel bruin, cremekleurige kraag.

Bottle @ Willems Grobbendonk, Belgium. Pours deep ruby amber with a creamy lasting head and lacings. Nose is deep and vinous. Rich malty - caramel, dark dried fruit and berries. Sweet malty flavor. Bread, bitter hops, caramel and fruit. Full bodied. Surprisingly bitter finish.

11/07/2011 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 18/8/11 (2011-320)

Bit cloudy dark amber coloured beer, light beige creamy head, stable, adhesive with nice lacing. Aroma: sweet malts, candi sugar, caramel, bready yeast. MF: good carbon, full body. Taste: very fruity, some caramel, sweet malts, citrus notes and hops. Aftertaste: citrus fruits, bitterness, bit dry, candi sugar, alchol noticeable. Ending is a bit watery.
