33 cL bottle. Pours hazy hazzlenut brown with a huge light tan head. Dry and slight mouldy aroma with a mild roasted malt note. Sweet malty flavoured with a mild spice note. Lingering overripe fruity note swept in dark malt flavours into the finish.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Brown color. Roasted malt in the rather herbal aroma. Sweetish, roasted flavor with raisin. Malty and bready. The alcohol is fairly well hidden, but still noticeable. Powerful beer with enough flavor to be pleasurable, but somehow I feel this beer could be much better.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Colour of very strong tea; dense white head, not very stable. Roasted malts and lots of caramel and toffee in the nose, tinge of buttermilk. Uneasy sweet-bitter balance. Bitterness from roasted malts, rather than hops. Finish sways towards a fruity sweetness (yellow apples -maybe caramelised-, figs, ripe pears). Quite chewy mouthfeel, a bit soupy (typical for these bittersweet malt concoctions). Somehow I get an impression of 'not finished'. Not enough lagering? Or just poor choice in biomalts? I remain unconvinced.
