COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A light-bodied, easy drinking beer style from the Northern German town of Cologne. The hops are very low and of noble variety with a light malt to keep the beer refreshing and good for a hot day. A cousin of the pilsner, this is a hybrid style traditionally made by the people of Cologne to enjoy in the middle of the summer, but decidedly delightful year-round.

16 oz can shared on a mountain drive. Crisp, light and pretty easy to drink. Light bitterness, noble hops, floral notes, husky grains. Pretty light body, somewhat refreshing, a little boring overall.

Can from adneilson via Krampus. Not too bad... Some light malts, but of stale caramel, moderate+ carbonation with a mild body, slightly bitter, so so.

Poured from pint can into schooner glass. Appearance: a 1" white head slowly recedes with no lacing. Color is a hazy golden with plenty of streaming carbonation. Aroma: apple and pear, yeast rolls and some floral hop presence. Mouthfeel: light and crisp with a dry finish. Flavor: tart apple and pear, light toasted barley malt. An abrupt hop bite in the finish. Overall: not a bad beer, but nothing outstanding either. There seems to be a lack of balance in the flavors.

Yellow pour, white head. Light flavors, pils malt, some stale hops, watery a bit. Nothing special.

16 ounce can. Thanks Secret Santa Aaron! Pours a pale gold with a decent white head. Mild aroma of fruit, malt, and floral. Taste is similar. Uncomplicated.

16 oz can is awesome. Product inside isn’t. Pours a nice clear golden with a white head. That’s the nicest thing I have to say about this beer. Quite the flawed beer. Really bad Acetaldehyde aroma and flavor. Also get some DMS out of it. Borderline drain pour. Unless you like green apple creamed corn kolsch brews.

On tap @ Pateros Creek. Pale golden pour with a white head. Lemon zest, tea, and grain on the nose. Some pear, apple, and water as well. Flavor is astringent grain, apple, and tea. Lemon zest, water, and pear. Meh. One of the least offensive offerings.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear wheat color. Aroma is light, honey, grains, and strangely apples. Taste is pretty much the same, pretty grainy.

On tap at the brewery. Pour is clear golden yellow with a small white head and decent lacing. Grainy, husky, straw, light corn, floral, and grassy aroma. Taste is cereal, corn, grainy, biscuit, bread, grass, and sweet honey. Light body with high carbonation. Refreshing but boring.

Can from world beverage loving delivered by my Wife. Awwwww, aint that just heartwarming? Yeast and dry cereal nose. Initial marshmallow head slowly settles to a quarter inch and sits and looks at you. Light amber in glass. Very little lacing. Hops appear on edges halfway thru and grow to crescendo thru the finish. Bert...coming at yah.... your kolsch numbers are low.
