RSRIZZO (954), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Nov 22, 2007 Had this beer on 1/16/1998. This another beer Headbanger gave me for Christmas. Color is a bright golden brown, a little lighter than most winter brews. Aroma has a sweet malt scent with a touch of skunk to it. Carbonation looks about average, with little head retention. Taste reminds me a little of Sam Smith’s Winter Welcome (97’-98’), it starts off with a rich sweet malt flavor, goes down easy, and finishes with a flat bitterness that has no hop character. Overall I don’t feel it’s a very good beer, nor is it a good Winter brew. They may be going for this taste but I don’t know why. kp (6000), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 11/14/1996

Deep golden color with a standard lager white head. Aroma of light pale malt. A cross between a helles bock and a dortmunder/export. Finishes a with a mild hops bitterness and a touch of alcohol. A light winter warmer. Kaya161 (1129), Aspen, Colorado, USA Aug 11, 2002 The label says it all. Totally radical! Deep orange/light amber stale malt aroma. Bock-like flavour. Finish is kind of sour. This beer has held up remarkably well since the early 90’s. I think Paulaner needs to reintroduce this beer so that we can taste it in its fresh early 90’s form.
