3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the Paulaner brewpub in Beijing, China. Cost about $130 RMB. Drank out of a dimpled liter mug. Ne how ma! Pours dark purple. Little head and a bit more lacing. Sticky aroma with lots of sweetness and dark fruit. Mouthfeel is light. Tastes like a typical fresh dunkel. Light but not crisp, fruity. Pretty decent stuff but not too memorable. Good to drink a liter of though!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark red-brown colored with medium sized light brown head. Nice chocolaty aroma with some roasted touch, sweet and rich one indeed. Medium bodied. Flavor is more grainy and yeasty in start, aftertaste has more chocolate and roastiness. Good one with slight handmade touch.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draught at the brewpub. Menu said 5.1%. Poured a dense dark brown with fine bubbles and a thick tan head. Medium body, full mouthfeel and early, slightly sweet dark malt flavors. Clean, and distinctive in a country of rice-based light lagers.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
(03.31.06) On tap at Paulener Brauhaus, Beijing, China. Hazy dark brown beer with large white head. Average carbonation. Sweet malt in the nose. Medium bodied Dunkles that starts with light malt sweetness and smoke/caramel/toasted malt flavors. Finishes dry with light malt aftertaste. No discernable hop presence. A very good drinkable malty beer that went well with roasted pig knuckles.
