Cloudy brown. This has more or less your standard banana and chocolate nose. Clean wheaty, yeasty, character with a hint of apple and chocolate.

Tap am Kapuzinerplatz, they said they only made 2000L of this. Very dark mahogany brown with a sliver of chestnut at the bottom, and a frothy beige head atop. Strong nose is fresh and yeasty, very strong cloves, nice! More bananas in the mouth, abundant fresh wheat and yeast, sweet and spicy. Refreshing medium body and one of the best, freshest DW’s I’ve had.

Their seasonal. At the brewhouse, Munich. Tasted a bit like a Slush Puppy flavor I couldn’t place... rasperry? Good all the same.

My Bottom Line :
A veritable fruit salad graces this bubbly Dunkel Weizen, wherein clove-y phenols and earthy wheat fight for space in the second half.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A veil of foam covers the cloudy dark brown.
-Blueberries, bananas and raspberries all appear quite distinctly.
-The mouthfeel is not as tight as I would like it to be.
-This remains a very interesting Dunkel Weizen mainly due to its distinctive personality, but still needs loads of work to reach the heights of a Weihenstephaner, for example.
On tap at the Paulaner Brauhaus in Munich.

On tap at the brewpub: Hazy, amber coloured, stable mid-sized off-white head; moderate to solid caramelly-fruity nose, wheat-malt included, yeast detectable; moderate sweet-sourish flavour, medium bodied, spritzy but soft; caramelly and fruity finish followed by a moderate acidity in the aftertaste. Almost a diluted Weizenbock.....
