donteatpoop (112), Youngstown, Ohio, USA Apr 11, 2008 I can’t help but think this is labelled wrong on here. The reviews of other members match my experience, but it’s labeled as a "Paulaner Hefe-Weizen Natural Wheat" on the bottle, and I couldn’t find "Paulaner Hefe-Weizen Natural Wheat" on ratebeer.com, so I assume it’s just mislabeled. I understand this is supposed to be for China, but Paulaner Hefeweizen isn’t even on here...
That aside, here is my review. Poured a cloudy copper color with an off-white head that lasted throughout. Smelled like banannas and flowers and yeast and something else... possibly cinamon. Tasted lightly of banannas and grain and a bit of citrus. A nice balanced mouthfeel, goes down smooth and refreshing.
Great beer.

pj1855 (19), Eagan, Minnesota, USA Jun 22, 2008 Updated: Jun 29, 200812 oz. bottle. "Paulaner Hefe-Weizen Natural Wheat" Cloudy golden color. Creamy white lasty head. Fruity yeast smell. Very fizzy carbonation. Initially very sweet flavor with a slight bitter saltly finish. mvcramer (187), Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA Apr 15, 2008 A solid hefe. I love wheat beers and feel like they’re an underappreciated lot. Everyone goes big for the massive IPA’s or the insane Imperial Stouts, but the balance and flavor of a great wheat beer is not lost on me. This one had some nice banana clove aroma... I got something additional as it warmed - nutmeg? cinnamon? some kind of darker spice. Clean on the palate, mildly sweet and a refreshing finish. Summer’s coming. This one would be great on a hot day. Tilley4 (218), Huron, Tennessee, USA Dec 5, 2007 I love the Oktoberfest that Paulaner puts out so I wanted to give this a try.
Very cloudy pour with a smallish head and some decent lacing. Smells very fruity with a dominant banana nose. Very dominant.
Dominant banana taste with a little yeast thrown in.
Not a bad beer and this was following a Sierra Nevada Bigfoot, so it may have gotten drowned out, but I don’t know that I will seek this one out again. eelz212 (1), USA does not count Dec 2, 2007 bottle, coppery fizz with thin white foam. subtle flavor and pop-like fizz makes it refreshing but nothing magical about it.
