3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
50 cl bottle, abv 5.5%, from Vinmonopolet Tromsø.
Scents of roasted apricots, yeast, cheese, citrus-soap, barbecued banana.
Tall deutschhhh off-white foam doesn’t want to go. Hazy yellow - golden body.
Tastes a lot of smoked wheat malts, grainy notes, breads, pear, syrupy banana.
Smooth mealy on palate. Ends with sweet wheat malts, honey, bread, yeast.
Overall this feels as a quality beer.

500 ml bottle into weizen glass, best before 2/2014. Pours very hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with some moderate streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, banana, pear, apple, clove, wheat, bread, bubblegum, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with very well balance malt and fruity/spicy yeast notes; with good strength. Taste of banana, pear, lemon, apple, wheat, bread, clove, bubblegum, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light wheat tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of banana, pear, apple, wheat, bread, clove, bubblegum, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice balance and complexity of malt and yeast ester flavors; with good robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy, smooth, and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a really excellent hefeweizen! All around great balance, robustness, and complexity of malt and yeast ester flavors; and extremely smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can. Pours amber, hazy color with large and characterful beige head. Creamy and delightful to watch. At the nose aroma of wheat, yeast, bananas, ripes fruits, citrus and some cinnamon hits you. Clear wheat, bread, yeast, earth and fruity taste. Some spiciness follows with a light bitter finish. Light to medium body, good carbonation. The spices does it for me, great beer.

Dark creamy orange color, with head that lasts. Typical wheat beer aroma, with notes of citruses. Great finish. Great wheat beer. Really enjoyed this one.
