Sampled from 12 oz bottle on 10/25/2006 at the Junedale Beer Klub meeting... Gold color and generous lacing. Light clove, banana, wheat, and yeast aroma and flavor. Very smooth and quite tasty! This is a very solid German Hefe! Need to revisit in the future...

UPDATED: APR 30, 2007 Draught. I thought this was very tasty, and a very smooth and extremely drinkable beer. Poured golden with creamy white head that it retained forever. Has a crisp citrusy flavor. One of the best Hefeweizens out there, this is a great beer.

UPDATED: JUL 11, 2008 My bottle said Hefe-weizen 5.5% but this site says weisbier. No translator but I think it’s the same. A slight aroma of fruit that is not ripe. Poors a beautiful swirling yellow cloudy haze in my steeler stein. Interesting flavor to my taste buds like other good cloudy light yellow wheat beers. Finish is OK with little bitterness. Bitterness does not linger.

0.5l bottle in “Poinger hoff” in Poing (close to Munich). Hazy amber color with big white head. Good taste, refreshing and easy to drink. This beer is very popular in Bavaria.

bottle from an indy beer shop, poured a cloudy amber colour, slight frothy white head on the initial pour which settled to just a light dusting around the edge of the glass. lovely aroma of banana and citrus hints, very nice coating of the mouth, very refreshing indeed

UPDATED: AUG 20, 2007 Smooth and refreshing with tastes of citrus, banana and cloves. Reminds me a lot of Schneider Weisse, although this one is definately more carbonated. Pleasant aroma of citrus fruits. Very decent Hefeweizen.

Very mild aroma. Moderately carbonated. Very smooth taste, nice and malty with that classic hint of banana. Fresh, crisp, very good.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2007 light brown, dark yellow color, cloudy with sediment i definitely love the wheat beers how they don’t filter makes it taste better. a little sweetness to it, three finger off white head that lasts halfway thru the stein. not bad, but don’t have more than five or a bad hang over will haunt you! has the standard banana and clove that comes with a Weiss.

500 ml bottle. Light brown and very cloudy from lots of sediment in the bottle. Throws a tall off-white head. Bread and cloves in the nose. Aroma feels slightly sweet and acidic at the same time. Very rich aroma. Highly carbonated. Crisp, yeasty mouthfeel. Texture is rich and smooth. Some bitterness in the finish.

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2006 330ml bottle - pours a hazy pale gold with a nice head that lasts until the bottom of the glass. Usual hefeweizen aromas of citrus, light banana-y esters and I picked up some very faint cloves? Highly carbonated and easily drinkable.....a nice finish. Solid hefe, but I’ve had better.
