UPDATED: SEP 27, 2007 Light yellow. Seemed a bit too light for me, hoping for a bit more sediment. Was ok. Not the best hef out there, not the worst. Was a little bit sweeter than I care for in a hefe and I had to drink this cooler than I would have liked as it was a bit too carbonated, but to be expected from an import bottle, I guess.

nice pale yellow color. definately bottle conditioned- not at allclear. first pass minimal clove/banana scent, just kind of flat smell. Second pass, cloves coming on but still small. third pass, there it is--good clove smell contained in a slightly sour environment. Refreshingly sour on entry very slight hop presence coming on late. Taste grows as it sits-drink this one slowly andenjoy it - don't gulp or you will miss it all. Overall, very refreshing. Very good beer.

not just my favorite Hefe, but my favorite beer overall. There's nothing better to enjoy on a sunny summer day!

Nice wheaty aroma. Frothy mouthfeel. I expected more of a clove, banana, bubblegum taste. On the palate, crisp, light, semi-watery. Very nice, it does the job.

Zesty spicy aroma with a hint of orange? Lovely dark straw appearance. Medium body is approriately clove & banana estery with a musty, earthy undertone in the finish. Finish is slightly sweet, nice & light despite typical high carbonation. High quality beer!

In my opinion this ranks best for Hefe's, thick white head, light golden color, & clean aroma. This paulaner is very light on your palate & does just what u ask a hefe to do... Refresh!

Thin White lacey head, the appearance is a dark milky orange hue. Roasted aroma of citrus and wheat. The flavor is quite bananacal and malty, the finish is dry with nearly no bitterness. It's highly carbonated ,I can feel the bubbles tingling on my tounge when it enters my mouth. A pretty good beer, even though I would prefer something darker.

(draft): Murky cider-colored body with small white head. Aroma is very strong, banana and wheat, yeasty -- missing clove but otherwise great. Taste is lemon up front, some banana, wheat. The moderately sweet banana is complemented nicely by the lemon. Finishes banana. Very carbonated.

This is one of my favorite beers of all time. The taste was simply amazing. A relatively sweet taste. Will have to try more to better describe it...
