This beer pour a cloudy, yellow color with a nice white head that left some lace. Some level of carbonation present. Some aroma of clove and maybe a hint of banana. The tast has some hops and clove aspects. The finish is what sells me on this beer. I am not a big fan of this style, but look for these styles for the warmer months. This is what this type of beer should be like. Definiately worth checking out.

I tasted this beer in the states and in England. Thought it was much better in England. The initial taste was sour in the states, but the aftertaste (the best quality of this particular beer in my opinion) was about the same in the states as it was in Europe. Very expensive too over here, so I’d only buy it again if I were in Europe.
The taste is a little sweet and sour. Could stand to have a bit more head. Definately not my favorite wheat.

tasting this beside a franziskaner hefe, letting the monks slug it out in a gastronomic sense: the spaten guy on the label seems more affable-- the paulaner monk looks like he could use a rolaids or something. anyway, this one is more clear than the franz, with just a squeeze more orange in color. fluffy head. more clarity means (evidently) less yeast floating around, so the paulaner retains more of a malt presence, and therefore i like it better. has a green apple aroma and a distant, sweet sauerkraut aroma (tho to admit that i can hear an ompah band in there too will likely demolish my remaining credibility). a balanced flavor, some clove; it wins the taste test over the sharper more lemony spaten. those kooky germans drink this for breakfast, i’ll have to try that sometime...
